McLuhan, Marshall (1911-1980)

Herbert Marshall McLuhan. Sociólogo canadiano, professor em Toronto. Em 1962, consagra a expressão aldeia global. Considera que desde 1905 a galáxia eléctrica destruiu a galáxia de Gutenberg e o homem tipógrafo, gerando-se uma nova inquietude de tempos sem escrita, marcados pela comunicação oral. Uma intensa comunicação, onde a forma, o continente, tende a ser mais importante do que a matéria, o conteúdo.
